Mealsgate Allhallows Old Church is disused and located in the middle of fields, surrounded by trees. There is a footpath from the layby (old road) off the A595, but there is no signpost to say that it goes to the church. In 2017 the churchyard was very overgrown; I photographed all the stones I could reach, but some were too far into thickets of brambles and others were covered deep in ivy and other vegetation. All that remains of the original building is the chancel and Lady Chapel.
