This Cemetery is near Normanby, 10 kms from Hawera in the Taranaki Area of NZ. The Waihi cairn(Memorial) there, records the names of 27 colonial servicemen who died during the Tītokowaru’s War of 1868–9 (NZ Land Wars)and were thought to be buried in the cemetery at the time the memorial was erected. There are also some civilian's buried here but no more than about 40 graves in total, many without headstones.
